Aamir Khan is known as the Mr. Perfectionist of Bollywood. Since the beginning of this millennium every role he has done, he has done it with so much aplomb that he gets into the skin of the character and becomes the character. But as they say, there is always a downside and in this case it is the fact that, he has often been accused of interfering in the process of film making and making it difficult for the director. Basically the allegation that he ghost directs all his films and that’s the reason he has a hundred percent ratio when it comes to the success of his films in a last decade and half.
Refuting all the claims once and for all, Aamir Khan said, when he was called as the guest on Koffee With Karan season 5, “I wish it was true ya, it’s very unfortunate and sad people think this way but it has been made by my directors.” He went to say that he was even talking about it with his latest director Nitesh Tiwari and revealed how he never even used to be around when scenes with other actors were being shot. He said, “During Dangal, I used to not even be on the set when he (Nitesh Tiwari) was shooting for his scenes with the girls, director is the person whose vision we are following, I will help his vision but not go according to my vision, had I followed my vision all my films would have looked similar.”
Overall the episode was quite fun and it fun and riveting to see the different side of Aamir Khan. His camaraderie with his onscreen daughters was the best part about the show.
Releasing on December 23, Dangal, is a biopic made on the life of real life wrestler Mahaveer Phogat and his quest to win Gold for India through his daughters Geeta and Babita Phogat. The film stars Aamir Khan, Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra.
