Will Badrinath Ki Dulhania make it to the 100 crore club? Well, it certainly looks like it. The movie has made a weekend collection of Rs 43.05 crore. The day 3 collections are out and the movie earned Rs 16.05 crore on Sunday. The collections graph of the film is increasing every day which is definitely a positive sign that the film might make 100 crore by this weekend. The day 1 collections were Rs 12.25 crore followed by the day 2 collection which was Rs 14.75 crore. The movie has been getting a rave response and Alia Bhatt–Varun Dhawan‘s crackling onscreen chemistry is one of the most-loved ones. In fact, the two have a really chemistry off-screen too.
Trade analyst, Taran Adarsh tweeted the weekend collection figures,” #BadrinathKiDulhania Fri 12.25 cr, Sat 14.75 cr, Sun 16.05 cr. Total: ₹ 43.05 cr. India biz. EXCELLENT!” The film has indeed been seeing an upward trend in the box office every day. This is exactly what trade had been predicting. They predicted that the film will cross Rs 40 crore in the first weekend and voila! It’s not just the chemistry that people loved but it’s also the message was conveyed through the film that the audience really connected with. In fact, people are all praises for Alia and Varun on Twitter.
Though the weekend collections have been quite promising for the film, tomorrow’s figures will tell us if the film has passed the Monday litmus test, especially since it’s a holiday. However, with the kind of occupancy it has been raking in and the 3000 screens that it’s got, we’re sure Monday’s collections will be quite good. Badri is one of Varun Dhawan’s most loved characters till now and even though Alia is equally good, Varun seems to have taken the limelight.
