Ganesh Chaturthi 2016: Shraddha, Tusshar, Ranbir, Sanjay Dutt welcome Bappa into their homes


Ganpati Bappa Moreya!

Yesterday was an auspicious start to our 11 days of fun, joy, merriment as we welcomed lord Ganesha into our homes and seek his blessings and happiness. Well, our B-Town celebs did very much the same thing. While we did give you a glimpse of Ganpati idol at Salman Khan’s residence, here is how many many other celebs celebrated the day.

We know Ganpati has arrived when chants of Ganpati Bappa Morya fills the air, and there is joyous smiling faces dancing all over the streets. Every year Bollywood celebrates the festival with a lot of pomp and this year is no different. Bollywood biggies went all out to celebrate the festival including Shraddha Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput, Tusshar Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and who not!

Celebs have been flooding social media with pictures of their day and wishes for their beloved fans. Here is how B-Town welcomed Ganpati!

Shraddha Kapoor

Shraddha is a BIG fan of this festival. Last year she took a break of 4 days from her Baaghi shoot to join her family in celebrations. She took to Twitter to share a happy picture with her family. The first teaser of Shraddha Kapoor’s upcoming film Rock On 2 also released today, and to sum it- she rocked it! Rock On!


Tusshar Kapoor

Tusshar gave us the first glimpse at his son Laksshya today. We cannot sum up in words how adorable the father-son duo looked in the pictures. Tusshar, Jeeetendra also welcomed  a Ganpati idol into their homes. They were in full religious mode, with dhoti and all.


Ranbir Kapoor

Ranbir Kapoor celebrated the festival at RK Studios with his father Rishi Kapoor and uncle Randhir Kapoor. He was looking very handsome in a royal blue kurta.


Shilpa Shetty Kundra

Sanjay Dutt

This is Sanjay’s first Ganesh Chaturthi since he has been released from Yerwada jail. This certainly is a historic moment for the Munna Bhai actor. He will soon start working for Siddharth Anand’s next.


Neil Nitin Mukesh

The Mukesh family posed for some clicks, as they worshipped Lord Ganesha today. Certainly, festivals are a time to get closer to your family.


Anil Kapoor

Anil shared a pic on Twitter with the caption “Starting my day by seeking blessings!! Happy #GaneshChaturthi    #GanpatiBappaMorya” Certainly this was the best day to announce the release date of his next film Mubarakan. The flick also stars Arjun Kapoor, Ilena D’Cruz and Athiya Shetty in lead roles.


Riteish Deshmukh

Riteish probably  celebrated the most unique Ganesh Chaturthi. You know what? He made a Ganpati idol by himself at home.
