KUNAL KHEMU SAID: “IN ONE OF THE TRACKS, I’VE GOT THE OPPORTUNITY TO PORTRAY A NEGATIVE SHADE WHICH IS FOR THE FIRST TIME. IT’S NOT ABSOLUTELY A NEGATIVE CHARACTER, BUT IT IS THE DARKEST THAT I’VE PLAYED. AS AN ACTOR, IT IS EXTREMELY INTERESTING FOR ME AND SO I’M VERY EXCITED TO SEE HOW THE AUDIENCE REACTS TO THE FILM”.
Actor Kunal Kemu says that he is willing to do both romantic-comedies and play a “hardcore negative character”.
“There are two kinds of characters that I’m eager to do. I haven’t done any romantic film and I haven’t played any hardcore negative character. So, these are the two characters that haven’t explored yet so I am hoping to get a suitable script and do such roles as early as possible,” said Kunal.
Kunal, who is promoting his forthcoming thriller Bhaag Johnny with actress Zoa Morani, says that his wish to portray a negative character has somewhat got fulfilled with this film.
He said: “In one of the tracks, I’ve got the opportunity to portray a negative shade which is for the first time. It’s not absolutely a negative character, but it is the darkest that I’ve played. As an actor, it is extremely interesting for me and so I’m very excited to see how the audience reacts to the film.”
Kunal’s Kalyug was also an emotional thriller, but he dismisses any similarities between Bhaag Johnny and the 2005 film.
He said: “The characters and the stories are completely different. There is a good amount of freshness in the film. Perhaps you’ll see some similarities in the first track, but the circumstances are different. So, if you compare Bhaag Johnny with Kalyug, then there are hardly any similarities.”
