With Baahubali grossing close to Rs 600 crores from its theatrical release, Prabhas and Rana Daggubati become the youngest actors to enter the 500-crore club.

Yesterday, fans of Baahubali were celebrating one year of the monster hit

Prabhas, the Telugu superstar was a local hero ever since Varsham (2004). However, it was SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali (2015) that made the whole of India, and the globe take notice of this gentle giant. Over six feet tall with a charming countenance, Prabhas is the typical tall dark handsome man. Now, he is the youngest actor to enter into the Rs 500 crore club. He is younger than the two earlier record holders, Salman ‘Sultan’ Khan and Aamir Khan.

Prabhas, 35, has had hits like Varsham, Chatrapathi, Yogi, Munna, Mr. Perfect and Mirchi to his credit. However, it was his stupendous performance as Amarendra Baahubali/Shivudu in the war film that made him a household name. With the film completing a year #1yearofBaahubali is trending and fans are jubilant over the success of their hero.
On the occasion of Baahubali’s first anniversary, the film is being released once again in Kerala. It is being done by the distributor, Global United Media who is releasing the dubbed Malayalam version of the film. Baahubali has grossed around Rs 600 crore so far from its theatrical release. This means that even Rana Daggubati who is younger than Prabhas is also a member of the Rs 500 crore club. Rana is only 31. We just can’t help but whistle for these hunks who gave their 1000 per cent to the film. We had the privilege of meeting Rana a few days back and he told us, “It is not about the money. What we are happy is that Baahubali will be remembered as a classic for years to come. What we learnt during the course of the film is what really counts.” Now, that’s spoken like a true hero!
