Shah Rukh Khan is a real superstar, and we now got a piece of evidence that he is also generous and is conscious of his social responsibility. Shah Rukh Khan was at the ongoing San Francisco International Film Festival as a guest speaker where he shared the dais with the Hercules and X-Men: The Last Stand director Brett Ratner. During a tete-a-tete session with him, Shah Rukh Khan talked about how Hollywood should collaborate with Indian cinema in helping the latter make it big in scope and awareness. He also said that success and failure are transient. But the biggest takeaway from the conversation was his promise to help acid attack survivors as long as he is alive. Isn’t that a cool gesture? Shah Rukh Khan does prove he is King Khan from the heart.

Acid attacks on women have become one of the worst crimes in India, and many victims have been scarred, some of them for the lifetime. Since many such cases do not belong to affluent families, the helpful gesture from celebs like Shah Rukh Khan goes a huge way in assisting them with their treatment.

Shah Rukh Khan drew a large crowd at the festival, as he posed and interacted with fans and clicked selfies with them. Many don’t know this, but he and Brett Ratner have been friends for long, though we are not sure if they will collaborate on a project soon. Shah Rukh Khan is quite busy with shoots for Imtiaz Ali’s romantic entertainer with Anushka Sharma. He will also be prepping up for his role as a dwarf for Aanand L Rai’s untitled movie that is scheduled to release in 2018.
