Gauri Shinde Releases A Statement About The Dear Zindagi Plagiarism Issue

Gauri Shinde

Gauri Shinde

Gauri Shinde‘s Dear Zindagi has received a lot of praise from audiences and critics alike, but the director has been embroiled in a plagiarism controversy, where it’s being said that the makers of the TV show Being Erica are reportedly looking at suing her. The director has previously denied any such allegation and said that this is all very distressing. She recently released an official statement on the matter.

Dear Zindagi is a deeply personal film. There is only one thing it borrows from. That’s my life…. there are a million films and serials with therapists like there are with doctors. Just because there is a doctor in a film does not mean it borrows from another film with a doctor. Am deeply disturbed by irresponsible comments from people who have no clue what it is that they are referring to… I have not seen this series that they refer to.. and I cannot comment on what is in it. In today’s world where everybody sees everything I am not so dumb that I believe I can get away by deliberate plagiarism nor am I so insensitive to borrow without giving credit from anybody who has created anything for such a sensitive and important cause.”

We really do hope that this matter is resolved soon.

Meet Sunny Deol’s Son Karan Deol – The Bollywood Debutant

Much to Sunny Deol‘s delight, his latest release, Ghayal Once Again has fared pretty well at the box-office. And that’s a reason enough for the Deols to celebrate. But guess what? There’s something else that their entire family is rather excited about – Karan Deol‘s Bollywood debut! For those who do not know who Karan is, he’s legendary actor Dharmendra‘s grandson and Sunny paaji’s eldest son. The 20-something lad has even worked as an assistant director in the Deols’ home production, Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 and has also taken acting lessons from an esteemed institute. Naturally, many are awaiting this youngster’s on-screen debut.

In fact, reports suggest that Aditya Chopra was very keen to launch Karan under the banner of Yash Raj Films. But it seems Sunny refused as he wishes to launch his son himself. Also, Sunny hasn’t exactly been on great terms with YRF ever since the climax of his movie, Darr was altered without his knowledge.

When asked about Karan’s debut during a recent interview, paaji said:

“Karan is doing very well. After Ghayal Once Again, I will talk about my son’s debut. That’s the next thing I’ll be doing.”

Here are a few photos of Karan.
